Made in Port Huron was created to promote community awareness and the contributions of ourcitizens.
Our Mission is to highlight the efforts of the residents of Port Huron. It is our Vision to see steadyeconomic growth in our city.
Shipbuilding and lumber helped build our great city. It is our hope that Port Huron will return to economic
prosperity, but that starts with the residents of this great city. We must buy local products and encourage
fellow residents to commit to the city’s growth. We intend to put a spotlight on the accomplishments of our
citizens, by recognizing honorable charities and non-profits throughout our area here on the border with
Canada, and Point Edward our neighbor to the North.
Just as Thomas Edison saw the potential of this area by the Great Lake Huron and the Blue Water Bridge,
we also have the vision of greatness here in Port Huron.
McMorran Place and entertainment center, which hosts hockey games for the Port Huron Prowlers of the
Federal Hockey League, former home of many arena football teams, and seats 4,800 for the many concerts
we have seen, has the possibility of providing many events for the residents of Port Huron. It is up to us to
make it an outstanding venue for our citizens.
Civic pride is an important part of economic growth. When companies see that we possess the desire and
commitment to make our home the greatest city in Michigan, they will want to be a part of that community
spirit. Buying local and returning jobs to the Port Huron community should be every resident’s goal.
Just as Ralph Modjeski, born in Poland became "America's greatest bridge builder" the citizens that make
Port Huron their home, wherever their place of birth, can make this city an economic power. Moreover, we
